Refund Policy

Your rights and our position on refunds, cancellations and transfers.

1. General

At Hillview Business Services Pty Ltd we are committed to providing quality Products and want you to be satisfied with your purchase. This Refund Policy explains your rights and our position if something is not right, and it forms part of our Terms and Conditions.

Because most of our Products are digital (documents, templates, toolkits, online courses) and are delivered or accessible immediately, please choose carefully before you buy.

2. Definitions

  • "Seller, we, us or our" means Hillview Business Services Pty Ltd (ABN 60 656 760 655);
  • "Buyer, you, your or user" means any person, body corporate or entity which purchases, orders or uses our Products or Content;
  • "Products" means all documents, templates, toolkits, online courses, workshop and certification-support offerings, and other deliverables, in whatever form, provided or to be provided by the Seller to the Buyer.

3. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Our Products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded.

If a Product has a major problem, you are entitled to ask for a replacement or a refund. A Product has a major problem when, for example, it:

  • is significantly different from its description or a sample shown to you; or
  • is substantially unfit for its common purpose and cannot easily be fixed within a reasonable time.

If a Product has a minor problem that can be fixed, we may choose to provide a replacement or correction within a reasonable time (we aim to do so within seven days).

4. Change of mind

We do not provide refunds for change of mind or for incorrect choices. This includes buying the wrong Product, no longer wanting a Product, or finding the same or similar material elsewhere. Please read each product description carefully, and contact us with any questions, before you purchase.

5. Digital documents, templates and toolkits

Because these Products are delivered electronically and can be downloaded and copied immediately, all sales are final once the Product has been delivered or made available for download, except where you have rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see clause 3).

6. Online courses

You may request a refund within 14 days of purchase, provided you have not accessed, downloaded or commenced any part of the course, whichever occurs first. Once you have accessed, downloaded or commenced the course, the purchase is final and non-refundable, except where you have rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see clause 3).

If we fail to make a course available to you, you may choose a re-supply of the course or a refund of the affected portion. Any separately purchased workbooks or downloadable materials are non-refundable once delivered, except where you have rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

7. Workshops and certification support

The following applies to scheduled workshops and certification-support bookings, except where you have rights under the Australian Consumer Law:

  • Cancellation by you, 7 or more business days before the workshop: full refund or transfer to a future date.
  • Cancellation by you, fewer than 7 business days before: 50% refund or transfer, at our discretion.
  • Non-attendance / cancellation within 48 hours, or "no-show": no refund; a substitute attendee may be sent in your place.
  • Cancellation or rescheduling by us: you may choose a full refund or a transfer to the rescheduled date.

Rescheduling or transferring your booking (separate from cancelling): if, instead of cancelling, you wish to move your booking to a later session or transfer it to another person, let us know in writing at least 5 business days before the workshop and we will do so at no charge, subject to availability. Requests made fewer than 5 business days before the workshop may incur a reasonable administration fee.

8. How to request a refund or report a problem

If you have a problem with a Product, please tell us promptly. Provide your order number, the Product name, and a description of the problem. We will respond within a reasonable time and, where a remedy applies, arrange a replacement, correction, store credit (if you prefer) or refund as appropriate.

Refunds, where provided, are made to your original payment method within a reasonable time.
